Recreational Fishing

Fishing in Puerto Escondido is another attraction in this place of the Mexican Pacific. It offers the best conditions for this sport since just 5 miles away the visitor can get a sail fish, marlin, dorado, or tuna, which are some of the species available all around the year. During winter there are larger amounts of yellow fin tunas. Whales can also be seen close to these coasts. It is recommended to sail by sunrise and return to port at noon, boats can accommodate 4 persons and it is advisable to take precautions regarding the sun and thirst. Do not forget: captains will provide the knowledge, visitors their skills.

In November, the International Fishing Tournament of Sail Fish is held.
