Mexican Turtle Centers (Mazunte)

Located in Mazunte and funded on September 1991 to foster the care for the species and prevent its extinction. Here, biologists, oceanographer, and other specialists study the behavior and way of life of the sea turtles, in addition to a farm to help the repopulation of these chelonians. The visitor can watch all the species of the Mexican marine turtles, including those inhabiting the littorals, six fresh water species and two land species.
