Zicatela

This is a beach on open sea, with a length of 2.5 miles (4 Km), fine sand and steep slope. Its waters are warm, crystalline, with greenish-bluish tones. Zicatela is famous for the characteristics of its swell, which reaches up to 20 feet (6 meters) height on occasions, making it ideal to practice surfing and boogie boarding. Due to this, it is a favorite among local surfers and those coming to learn and practice these sports. Additionally, every November it is held a surfing tournament in which local surfers, as well as from other states and even from abroad, participate, offering a truly marvelous spectacle and displaying their skills in this difficult art of riding waves. The beach is easily accessible walking along the coast, southeast from the Andador Pérez Gasga.
